Shipping Policies

At the present time we only ship wine to the following states where direct shipment is permitted by law: AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, HI, ID, IL, IA, LA, MI, NV, NH, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, SC, TX, VA, WA, WI and WY.  (MN and MO state law prohibits wine sales via the internet. To place an order for wine from these states please contact us via telephone, fax or mail.) In some cases even though permitted, we may not be able to ship wines due to carrier restrictions. Applicable sales tax will be added to all orders. Orders require one business day for processing.

All orders must be placed and wines received by adults 21 years and older. Age verification will be required upon receipt of your wine. To ensure proper delivery we recommend that orders be sent to a business address where an individual (over 21 years of age) can sign a receipt for the order. No delivery can be made to P.O. Boxes.

No wine will be delivered to visibly intoxicated persons and any person unable to provide age verification will forfeit their right to receive the shipment until identification is produced. In such circumstances the order may either be held in storage at a local depot of the shipping company until appropriate identification is produced, or shipped back to the winery. All associated costs will be the responsibility of and be charged to the customer.

Shipping Rates

Cost of shipping will be added to your bill. When completing your purchase through our Online Store you can select whether you wish delivery by 1st Day Air, 2nd Day Air or Ground delivery and the applicable shipping charges will automatically be entered into your purchase order for your approval prior to you confirming your order. We generally do not ship on Thursday or Friday. Weather can often delay shipping. Orders are not guaranteed to go out the day they are placed.  Please email - or call - for any special shipping needs.

Will call orders can be placed via our online store or by telephone and then picked up at our San Francisco temperature controlled cellars. This option allows you to keep your wine in our temperature controlled cellars for up to 30 days and is available at no cost. This option can be completed during the final stages of your checkout process. To place a will call order please input in the “Ship To” fields: Fort Ross Vineyard & Winery, 500 Indiana Street, San Francisco, CA 94107. If will call orders are not collected within in 30 days of placement of the order, case storage will be charged at $5 per case per month or part thereof.

Privacy Policy

We respect and protect your privacy. Your name and any information you provide to us will not be sold or shared with other companies. We request information only to better understand you, your interest in wine, and in particular, your interest in our wines. We keep this information strictly confidential and solely for our own use. If at any time you prefer not to be included in our mailings, please let us know and we will honor your request.
